The latest version of the Home Dialysis Utility Reimbursement Calculator is now available, reflecting utility tariffs for July 2026 to March 2027.
Developed by the Welsh Kidney Network (WKN) in collaboration with the UK Kidney Association (UKKA) and ANNUK, the calculator helps kidney teams accurately calculate reimbursement for the additional electricity and water costs incurred by patients receiving dialysis at home.
The updated document includes calculators for:
- Automated Peritoneal Dialysis (APD)
- Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD)
- Home Haemodialysis (HHD)
The calculator should be used alongside the WKN/UKKA Home Dialysis Assessment and Patient Agreement to support a consistent approach to reimbursing eligible home dialysis patients.
The reimbursement calculator is reviewed annually to ensure the latest utility tariffs are reflected.
