This four-day course provides a comprehensive update in kidney transplantation, combining expert-led lectures with interactive case discussions covering the complete transplant pathway. This four-day course provides a comprehensive update in kidney transplantation, combining expert lectures with interactive case discussions covering the entire transplant pathway. It is particularly relevant for nephrology trainees looking to strengthen their knowledge of transplantation and its application in clinical practice.
The programme includes:
- Day 1: Histocompatibility and donor assessment
- Day 2: Recipient assessment, transplant histopathology and early post-transplant management
- Day 3: Surgical aspects of transplantation
- Day 4: Post-transplant management
The course is designed for:
- Consultant and trainee nephrologists
- Recently appointed consultant and trainee transplant surgeons
- Nursing staff specialising in transplantation
Living donor and recipient transplant co-ordinators
The course will be delivered live via Zoom, with recordings available afterwards for registered participants. The course has previously been awarded 25 CPD credits by the Royal College of Physicians (UK).
