Play a key role in driving the UKKA’s mission to make kidney care more sustainable and better positioned in the face of growing environmental challenges.
Expressions of Interest are invited for the role of Clinical Co-chair of the UKKA Sustainable Kidney Care Committee.
The Committee was set up as a partnership between the UKKA, the Sustainable Healthcare Coalition and the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare, to radically reduce the environmental damage associated with kidney care and ensure its resilience in the face of oncoming environmental crises.
The successful candidate will work with the multi-professional co-chair to guide overall strategy, ensure seamless partnership working both within the UKKA and with external organisations, and coordinate the programme’s various workstreams.
Main committee meetings are held on an alternate monthly basis, jointly managed by the clinical and multi-professional co-chairs. The voluntary role requires the equivalent of ~ 0.5 of a session / week although additional project work (for instance, within the SKC workstreams) will require an additional time commitment.
The successful candidate will take over as substantive clinical co-chair on 1 November 2025 although they will be expected to attend the main committee meeting in September and engage in focused orientation sessions with the current co-chairs and as an observer in other meetings before then.
Informal enquiries can be made through s.kanagasundaram@nhs.net and/or gloriamunozfigueroa@outlook.com.
How to apply:
Please email your 300 word EoI along with a short CV (subject line: “SKC clinical co-chair”) by Friday 11 July, also indicating your availabilities prior to September.
