The UK Kidney Association (UKKA) invites expressions of interest for the role of Chair of the Clinical Directors Group.
The Group is a UK-wide network of renal Clinical Directors (representing both adult and paediatric units), providing a forum to share best practice, discuss service delivery challenges, and collaborate to improve patient care and influence national policy. It has delivered successful face-to-face Clinical Director forums, enabling members to come together to discuss key issues and build peer networks, and produces a regular newsletter to support communication and ongoing engagement.
Role of the Chair
The Chair will:
- Lead meetings, forums, and the overall work programme
- Support collaboration and peer engagement across the Clinical Director community
- Represent the Group within UKKA structures
- Contribute to national discussions on renal service delivery
Once in place, the Chair will review the ToR and agree the activities of the Group. Applicants should be UKKA members with current or recent experience as a renal Clinical Director (or equivalent), with a strong interest in service improvement and leadership.
How to Apply
Please submit a short expression of interest (max 1 page) outlining your experience and what you would bring to the role to ukka@ukkidney.org by 1 June 2026.
For an informal discussion with the outgoing Chair, please get in touch with the Secretariat who will arrange this for you.
