UK Kidney Association to stop posting on X
Following a review by our Trustees, and after feedback from across our membership, the UK Kidney Association has decided that continuing to use X (formerly Twitter) no longer aligns with our values as an organisation.
This is not a decision that we have taken lightly. Over recent years, X has undergone significant changes in leadership, policies and platform dynamics that have raised serious concerns about safety, content moderation and the broader environment for constructive public discourse.
As a professional membership organisation supporting the kidney community, we have a responsibility to choose communication channels that reflect our values and the standards we set for ourselves. We believe that our community deserves spaces where professional discussion and information-sharing can take place in a responsible and respectful way.
You can continue to hear from the UK Kidney Association and access our latest news, events and resources via our other channels:
You can visit our website for the most up-to-date information about our work or join the UKKA as a member to receive our e-newsletters and direct updates.
We thank our community for their continued support.
Regards,
Ron Cullen
