New horizons in polycystic kidney disease, 16 July 2026, Brunel University

Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is a rare, inherited kidney condition that places a significant burden on individuals and families. While major advances in molecular understanding have transformed the research landscape, there remains an important need to translate scientific progress into improved outcomes for patients.

This event will bring together PKD researchers and clinical scientists to reflect on recent progress, explore emerging translational opportunities, and consider how collaboration between academia, charities and industry colleagues could help shape future research directions in the field.

The programme will combine short talks with facilitated forward-looking discussion designed to highlight promising ideas, shared challenges and opportunities for meaningful collaboration. Industry participation will be exploratory with the emphasis on open discussion, relationship-building and shared understanding rather than formal funding or partnership decisions.

The meeting aims to generate clear, actionable insights that can help guide future research, strengthen connections across the community, and support continued progress towards better treatments and outcomes for people living with PKD.

The event is free to attend. Registrations close on the 6th of July 2026.
