Overview

The management of end-stage renal failure and dialysis therapy now represents the biggest workload for most renal units, particularly with the increasing number of older patients with multiple co-morbidities. This course provides a comprehensive forum where professionals and trainees in nephrology can deepen their understanding of renal replacement therapy.

Learning outcomes

Attendees will

  • gain a practical understanding of dialysis therapy and management of patients with end-stage renal failure
  • review basic theory through to the latest clinical developments
  • identify the clinical and technical skills required for the management of patients on a modern dialysis programme

Who should attend?

  • Trainees in nephrology (resident doctors/physician associates)
  • Recently appointed consultant nephrologists
  • Nurse specialists and allied health care professionals working in dialysis/renal units

The course is run over three days but you can choose to attend for one, two or three days.
