Applications are open for the DAYLife Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) Mentoring Programme - a 24-month national initiative supporting kidney centres to grow and strengthen PD services.
Open to all adult kidney centres in the UK.

What participating centres receive

Dedicated mentoring from an experienced PD centre (current mentors: Dorset, Nottingham, Oxford, Shrewsbury and London St Helier)

Virtual and in-person quality improvement (QI) training provided by the Kidney Quality Improvement Partnership

Virtual mentoring skills training from the Royal College of Physicians

Access to a national network of home dialysis professionals

Opportunities to showcase your work at DAYLife and other national events
Who should apply
Adult kidney centres aiming to expand PD uptake, strengthen pathways (including assisted and acute-start PD, catheter access and supported transitions), and embed sustainable QI approaches with senior leadership backing.

Mentor–mentee meetings: Monthly (May 2026–March 2028, approx. 1 hour)

Expectations of participating centres

Nominate medical and nurse PD leads, include a multiprofessional team and patient representative

Attend learning events and provide quarterly progress updates

Secure support from Clinical Director and Matron for staff time and delivery

Share learning on the DAYLife Knowledge Hub and contribute to DAYLife or national events

Consent to use of unit-level data in programme reports and publications
