Expressions of interest are invited for the role of Medical Chair as well as medical and multi-professional members of a new Rare Kidney Conditions Patient Information Committee.

This new committee will support the work of the UK Kidney Association’s Patient Information Committee, working in partnership with Kidney Care UK to develop high-quality patient information resources for healthcare professionals, patients, families and carers.

Building on the work of RaDaR, the committee will:

  • Support integration between RaDaR recruitment and patient information

  • Oversee resources on Kidney Care UK’s Rare Kidney Conditions information hub

  • Maintain and expand Patient Information Forum (‘PIF Tick’) accreditation for rare condition resources

  • Promote patient involvement in rare kidney condition research

We are seeking paediatric or adult specialists with an interest in rare kidney conditions and patient information production. Applications are welcome from nephrologists, trainees, nurses, dietitians, psychologists and other allied professionals.

The committee will meet online two to three times a year. Post-holders will serve a three-year term starting Autumn 2025.

📅 Deadline for applications: Friday 10 October 2025
