The UK Kidney Association brings together over 2,000 doctors, scientists and multi-professional team members to lead the development of kidney service delivery, research and quality improvement.

Join us! We welcome all kidney health professionals to join the community and offer flexible rates to those working less than full-time. Our members contribute to the kidney community by being part of our Committees and Special Interest Groups (SIGs).

Network and learn with colleagues across the UK, from all professions involved in kidney care.

Our Committees

  • Our Clinical Practice Guidelines Committee oversee guideline work across the UKKA.
  • Our International Committee brings professionals together by organising regular Case Study Calls. In the most recent call, colleagues in Ukraine spoke about the enormous challenges in caring for their patients.
  • Our newly formed Ethics and Law Committee are preparing to survey members to find out what is needed to support in this area.

Our SIGs

  • Our AKI SIG held a national face to face summit where discussion formed the basis of the AKI Report. "Transforming AKI Care: National Recommendations".
  • Our Supportive Care SIG has highlighted the lack of guidelines to support patients managing their symptoms – the first symptom management guideline is being worked on by the group.
