Clinical Practice Guideline: Menopause and Kidney Disease – expressions of interest invited

The UKKA Clinical Practice Guidelines Committee is inviting expressions of interest for the development of a new guideline on the assessment and management of menopause and kidney disease.

This guideline will address an area of increasing clinical importance. Many women living with kidney disease experience the menopause alongside the complex challenges of their kidney condition, yet evidence and guidance in this area remain limited. Developing robust recommendations will help improve patient care, support informed decision making and raise awareness of the specific needs of this patient group.

We are keen to ensure representation from across the multi-professional kidney team, recognising that the impact of menopause spans far beyond medical management alone. Expertise from nursing, pharmacy, psychology, dietetics, allied health professionals and more will be essential in shaping recommendations that reflect the realities of everyday practice and patient experience.
