Date: October 14th, 2026

The UK Kidney Association (UKKA) is inviting expressions of interest from UKKA members to become the Multi-Professional Team (MPT) Co-Chair of the Home Dialysis Special Interest Group (SIG).

The Home Dialysis SIG brings together professionals from across the UK to promote excellence in home dialysis through collaboration, education, quality improvement and the sharing of best practice. The Co-Chair will work alongside the existing Clinical Co-Chair to provide strategic leadership and ensure the SIG reflects the perspectives of the wider multi-professional renal community.

About the role

The MPT Co-Chair will:

  • Provide leadership alongside the Clinical Co-Chair.
  • Help shape the SIG’s priorities and work programme.
  • Chair and contribute to SIG meetings and activities.
  • Encourage engagement from the wider multi-professional community.
  • Represent the SIG within UKKA where appropriate.
  • Support the development of educational resources, events and collaborative projects.

Who should apply?

We welcome applications from UKKA members working in any non-medical renal profession involved in home dialysis, including nursing, pharmacy, dietetics, psychology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and other allied health professions.

How to apply

Please submit a short expression of interest (maximum 500 words) outlining:

  • Your current role and experience.
  • Why you are interested in becoming MPT Co-Chair.
  • What you would bring to the role and your vision for the Home Dialysis SIG.

Please send your expression of interest to ukka@ukkidney.org by 29 November 2026.

If more than one expression of interest is received, appointments will be made in line with the UKKA’s appointments process.
