Patient council

Our Patient Council helps ensure that the voices and experiences of people affected by kidney disease inform the work of the UKKA. The council works closely with patients, carers, healthcare professionals, researchers and the NHS to support better kidney care and patient outcomes.

Its members contribute to a wide range of activities, including patient information, clinical guidelines, research, information governance and the use of patient data. The council also helps promote meaningful patient involvement at local, regional and national levels.

The Patient Council meets regularly throughout the year to advise and support the work of the UKKA. Learn more about the Patient Council here.

Equality and diversity

We are committed to creating and sustaining a positive, fair and mutually supportive environment. We accept, respect and value people with diverse identities and backgrounds and believe our differences make us stronger and more effective in achieving our goals. We ensure appointments are made on the recommendation of a transparent, balanced and appropriate panel, are made on the basis of merit, and encourage applications from all suitably qualified and eligible candidates.
