UK Kidney Research Consortium

The UK Kidney Research Consortium (UKKRC) supports collaborative clinical research to improve the health of people with kidney disease.

Established in 2007 by the Renal Association (now the UK Kidney Association) and Kidney Research UK, the consortium is now jointly hosted, supported and chaired by the UK Kidney Association and Kidney Research UK.

Leadership and meetings

The consortium is co-chaired by Professor John Sayer and Professor Simon Davies. Kidney Research UK provides its permanent secretariat. The UKKRC meets twice a year. Clinical study group leads report on their work at each consortium meeting.
