Annual AKI reports

The UK Renal Registry’s acute kidney injury (AKI) reports examine the impact of AKI on adults and children in England. Based on the nationwide collection of laboratory AKI warning test scores, they describe how often AKI occurs, who is affected and their outcomes.

The reports distinguish between people whose AKI is managed entirely in the community, those admitted to hospital following community-acquired AKI and those who develop AKI during a hospital stay. These analyses help healthcare teams understand differences between patient groups and care settings, supporting clinical audit and quality improvement.
