Knowledge Hub
Outcomes that matter
Patient-reported measures give people living with kidney disease a direct way to report their experiences, symptoms and outcomes.
This Knowledge Hub brings together patient-reported measures, evidence, practical resources and learning from kidney teams to support the use of patient feedback to understand and improve care.
What are PROMs and PREMs?
Patient-reported experience measures (PREMs) help us understand people’s experiences of the care they receive, including areas such as communication, information, involvement in decisions and support.
Patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) ask people directly about their health and wellbeing, such as symptoms, physical functioning and how their health affects their daily life.
Together, they provide information that cannot be captured through clinical measures alone and can help kidney teams understand what matters to patients and identify opportunities to improve care.
Explore patient-reported measures used in kidney care and learn more about what they measure, how they were developed and how they can be used.
Explore research, publications and evidence showing what patient-reported experience and outcome data can tell us about kidney care.
See how kidney teams are using patient feedback to make improvements and access practical resources to support change locally.
Share your experience of using PROMs, PREMs or patient feedback to improve care and help other kidney teams learn from your work.
