Diagnosis
Early identification and accurate diagnosis of CKD allow timely intervention to reduce the risk of kidney disease progression, cardiovascular complications and kidney failure. People with risk factors for CKD should be offered testing to identify kidney disease at an early stage.
This section outlines who should be tested, the investigations used to diagnose CKD, and additional tests that may help identify the underlying cause.
